The First TAT Rogers County Winery Bike Ride & Tour!

You missed a great time!!

Our Report on the event:

We had a small turnout, but that made the selections and voting easier.

Best Pre-Ride Wine: Muscat Canelli--A sweeter white wine with very smooth finish. Went well with the cheese assortment. Just the wine to get your heart rate up early in a ride.

Best Rest-Stop Wine: Sedona-- A light red wine. Went well with the turkey and fruit. Good for quick pick-me-up at a rest stop!

Best Post-Ride Wine: Catawba--The Oak Hills' award-winning sweet blush. Great to get that gel aftertaste off your palate.

Best Recovery Wine: Summer Harvest--A wine blending the Catawba grape with raspberry and cherry. Voted best "hot-tub" wine, too!

Most likely to make a good gel flavor: dark chocolate and Red Satin. Need we say more?

Most likely to make a good energy drink flavor: Catawba. Ovbiously, a multi-purpose wine. We liked it!

See the full selection at their web site.

Pictures will be posted soon. Keep checking at the Pictures page.

Also, watch for our special report: "Effects of mid-ride wine tasting on second half perfomance with variable head winds." A soon as we find a peer to review it, we'll look for a publisher.

Watch for our repeat tour in the Spring.

You won't want to miss it!
