SWIM CLINICS
Join us for Swim clinics from our friends at Swim Labs and Jenks Aquatics. Clinics are offered in coached group swim format as well as 1-on-1 with video feedback. Click here to learn more. Participation is exclusive to current TAT members so advance registration is required and only available via email to current TAT members. Clinic size is limited so registration fills-up quickly. Swim clinic participation is a club benefit, participants must be a current TAT member. |
OPEN WATER
Weather and safe lake conditions permitting, TAT takes to the water May through September. Swim-buoy safety float required. Swim-buoys available at Runners World Tulsa. You must be a current TAT member to participate. OWS rules below. This is a public activity - no lifeguards are present. Visit our Facebook Page events for OWS event times & locations. Check the OWS FB event before heading out to the lake. OWS events are typically posted on Facebook the Wed evening prior to weekend swims. |
Open Water Swim Rules
Swim-buoy safety float required. Buy them at Runners World, 3820 S Peoria, Tulsa.
Be current TAT member and prove it upon request of event organizer.
Sign-in with OWS host upon arriving and check-out with OWS host before leaving.
If you see something, say something. Please notify your fellow swimmers if you see or anticipate any safety issues.
You are solely responsible for your own safety.
This is a public activity - no lifeguards are present.
Never swim alone - swim and communicate with the group.

We typically swim West of Tulsa at Lake Keystone, South of Tulsa at Heyburn Lake or, North of Tulsa at Oologah Lake.

NOTE: The water is reasonably clear and new, clean bathrooms with showers are on-site. Check-in at Shelter #2 the swim area.

NOTE: Heyburn lake is muddy and will likely stain light or bright clothing. Check-in near the swim area.

WHERE: Dam Site West Public Use Area, Hawthorn Bluff on Oologah Lake
NOTES: Check-in near the bathrooms, above the swim area. We start from the right-side of the designated swim area.
There is typically boat traffic near so...always swim with a bright cap and safety float, stay with your pace group, follow
the shoreline and/or marker buoys swimming no more than 10-yards off the shoreline or marker buoy.
