- Spectator friendly. Birch Lake's layout offers great opportunities to cheer family and friends
- Plan your drive. Birch Lake is 45 miles (50–60 minutes) northwest of midtown Tulsa. Plan to arrive at least 90 minutes before race start
TAT Race Series
Tulsa Area Triathletes hosts three regional races each year – Spring Fever Sprint Tri (May), Chris Brown Duathlon (Aug), and the Tulsa Triathlon (Sep).
From first-time finishers to elite competitors, the TAT Race Series offers a full season of racing on USAT-sanctioned courses professionally produced by Runners World Racing.
Tri-OKC Races
TRI-OKC hosts a variety of multi-sport races throughout the year, including triathlons, duathlons, aquabike races, and youth-friendly competitions. Their welcoming, well-organized races offer something for everyone—from first-time racers to experienced athletes looking for a new challenge.

Know Before You Go
- Plan ahead. The drive through Zink Ranch and the walk to the waterfront take longer than many first-time participants expect. Give yourself at least 45-min' to check-in and walk to the start
- Wear Comfortable Shoes. It's a 1/2 mile walk from check in to the start over a rough dirt road.
Tall Chief Open Water Challenge
The 18th Annual Tallchief Open Water Challenge takes place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Zink Ranch / Tallchief Lake near Sand Springs, OK.

National Senior Games
The 2027 National Senior Games will bring thousands of athletes age 50 and older to Tulsa from June 30–July 11, 2027 for one of the nation's premier multi-sport events. Compete in triathlon, road racing, swimming, and cycling competitions.
Athletes must qualify by competing in sanctioned events prior to the 2027 Senior Games.
